The Shepherds Way
Former Team Members

Jacob Hill
My name is Jacob Hill, I am a zoology graduate and keen naturalist. My voice can occasionally be heard reading the nature news, interrupting guests to ask questions and more commonly, during a section towards the end of the show where I speak about a variety of fascinating topics. I have been lucky enough to work in a number of outdoor roles and am hoping to continue a career in conservation. Outside of wildlife and nature I am passionate about music, writing and of course broadcasting!
Ruby Reed-Jones
Hello, my name is Ruby Reed - Jones, I am 22 years old. I am extremely passionate about radio, and am currently on a gap year before starting university. I have volunteered every Wednesday on Shepherds Way since July 2017. Steve is a great mentor / presenter and I have learnt a lot from him. My confidence has grown and I speak live on the show. I love socialising with the team, they are a very friendly bunch. BCfm is all about the community and I love hearing and talking about the wildlife in our city. I am very happy and a creative person. I love making podcasts in my spare time, and I am very determined to deliver the best I can towards the show.
Will Holland
"My name's Will and, when I'm not lazing around in my hammock with a flask of tea, I enjoy running (preferably in the countryside or woodlands), wild swimming and camping. I am also a keen music enthusiast and, alongside co-presenting on Shepherds Way, I also run a monthly music show called Dusty Grooves on another local independent station. I am passionate about environmentalism with my contributions to the show often having a clear environmental message."
Without the guys above, it would be impossible to broadcast 'Shepherds Way' - it takes on average 6 to 8 hours to produce a one hour radio program, finding guests, editing audio, writing scripts, researching news, looking for events, finding suitable music - The team bring this all to life.
